  • Proposal for variation to the admissions arrangements for September 2021

    Fri 24 Jul 2020

During the COVID19 pandemic, churches and other religious buildings have been closed by law for public worship and for other uses.  Since the school’s over subscription admissions criteria for Year R includes church attendance, (at least twice a month for the previous two years before the date of application) parents and their children are unable to meet this criterion under the terms of our current admissions arrangements.  Therefore, a proposal for a variation to the admissions arrangements for September 2021 has been applied for with the Diocese.

    The variation requested is:

“In the event that during the period specified for attendance at worship the church has been closed for public worship and has not provided alternative premises for that worship, the requirements of these admissions arrangements in relation to attendance will only apply to the period when the church or alternative premises have been available for public worship.”

If you have any comments specifically related to this notification of the variation please let us know at: adminoffice@botley.hants.sch.uk  and these will be forwarded to the Diocesan Governance Coordinator.

  • School Closed - Friday 2nd March 2018

    Thu 01 Mar 2018 Headteacher

    Dear Parents,

I will always try to keep the school open if at all possible.  However, the weather conditions are not set to improve and as such the school will be closed tomorrow, Friday 2nd March 2018 due to concerns for the safety of staff, children and parents.  This difficult decision is taken in line with all other schools within our cluster.  I can only apologise and hope you understand this decision.  See you Monday!

    Kind regards,

    Mr Cooil, Headteacher
