In accordance with the Department for Education's requirement for all governing bodies, the three core strategic functions of the Governing Body of Botley C of E Primary School are:
 

1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;

2. Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils;

3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its budget is well spent.

In addition, as a Church of England school the Foundation Governors ensure that we meet our Terms of Union with the National Society from when we founded in 1855.  

Our Governors bring a wide variety of experience and expertise to the school, as shown within their pen portraits.
