Maths Assessments
In Year 4, children will take part in a Multiplication Tables Check. This is an official check and reports will be published online.
Please see the letter below for more information.
It is also important to note that the ‘Soundcheck’ mode on Times Table Rockstars replicates the format of this assessment.
At the end of Year 6, children will sit SATs exams. There are 3 maths papers that children will complete over the week.
1 x Arithmetic Paper – 30 minutes
2 x Reasoning Papers – 40 minutes each
Please find some example papers saved below.

For Parents
We recognise that Maths can be a tricky subject, especially as the methods and techniques taught often have changed!
To help you understand better the expectations for each year group, we have collected a series of Knowledge Organisers which will show you what children are expected to know at the end of each year group.
The calculation policy (which you can access at the top of this page) should give you more information about the methods taught at our school. Below, you will also be able to watch several videos which go into our mathematical methods in more detail. We hope they will help. More are currently being filmed!

Maths Home Learning Activity Booklets
If you are looking for some activity booklets to complete at home, perhaps in the holidays to keep your child’s maths ticking over, please follow the link below.
https://whiteroseeducation.com/parent-pupil-resources/maths/free-downloads
These are free resources produced by the White Rose Maths Hub. Many of the pictorial models and question types we use at school come from these fantastic resources so your children will be familiar with them.
There are many different booklets for each year group based on different themes – ask your child what they want to practise some more!
