Safeguarding
Safeguarding is:
- protecting children from maltreatment;
- preventing impairment of children's mental or physical health or development;
- ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care;
- taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
We ensure that we have a strong safeguarding culture here at Botley C of E Primary School.
For us, safeguarding children is the most important thing that we do. Safeguarding children is everyone's responsibility and we have an attitude that "it could happen here". To that end all staff feel empowered and confident in fulfilling their responsibilities of keeping children safe.
If you have any safeguarding concerns please contact the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead, Joe Cooil (j.cooil@botley.hants.sch.uk).
You can also contact the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Becci Shuttle (r.shuttle@botley.hants.sch.uk).
